Purchasing Process

1

When you get in touch with Dan-Corn, you will be connected to the right Project Consultant in your area and you will arrange a meeting in order to take a look at the location where you want to install your new silo.

Being the customer, you always have more time to consider the whole project than our adviser and it is an important process to exchange thoughts and experience.

A solution is outlined on site and relevant dimensions are measured – like e.g. distance to dividing lines, existing buildings, inner rafters, location of hopper silos, etc. You will run through the drawings, solutions and the relevant products that will meet your specific demands. It is vital that we find a solution that also takes a possible expansion in the future into consideration.

We will also run through the regulations from the relevant authorities as well as the approvals that must be obtained before we can start to build.

Finally we agree when you will receive the project proposal from us.

3

As agreed during our first meeting, we will send you the project proposal including drawings. Then we will arrange a meeting and go through the proposal you have received. Together we will adjust the project proposal in order for you to get the specific solution that suits you and your farm perfectly. We put our expertise at your service for any clarifications and considerations.

4

When we have agreed to start a good corporation and the order is signed, the order is taken over by our Production/Technical Department (PTA) for further handling. When the final drawings are ready, the whole project is sent to you for your approval. It is important that all parties agree about the layout of the project and that all details have been considered down to the slightest detail.

5

The next step is building applications that must be sent to the authorities. Dan-Corn can assist you in this process upon request. We have an adviser that exclusively takes care of all applications for the different authorities. No spit can be made before the official approvals are stamped and signed. It is therefore important to send the relevant applications no later than after signing the order. Any building meetings with other suppliers are arranged.

6

When the foundation is concreted and other relevant buildings made ready for the erection, the assembly crew starts to work – and now the project is really taking shape. By larger plants there will be on-going meetings with representatives from our PTA, you and other suppliers – in this way we ensure that the process is successful – with the possibility to handle any problems before they get out of hand.

7

Before the assembly crew for silos and conveyor systems leaves the site, they will check their work in close corporation with you. When the erection is finished and electricity is turned on, representatives from Dan-Corn, your local Electrician, control board producer and yourself arrange a meeting. In this way, the handing over is done properly and we make sure that everything works as planned.

8

After your first harvest with your new silo project we will pay you a visit in order to follow up and be sure that everything is working as it should. We are always at your service if any questions should occur – also after the silos have been taken into use.
